San Juan IPA reminds providers to stay informed about patient cost sharing responsibilities for medical services related to COVID-19. Our research has found that patients are not responsible for cost sharing (Copay, Deductible, and Coinsurance) for certain items and services related to COVID-19 testing and treatment. See link below for federal guidelines on cost sharing. FFCRA (Families First Coronavirus Response Act) and CARES (Coronavirus Aid, Relief and Economic Security Act), enacted on March 18, 2020.
